About ACTE 2026
The 2nd Anticipating Cyber Threats' Evolution (ACTE) workshop returns with a multidisciplinary examination of one of the most innovative and challenging frontiers in cybersecurity: Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen-AI). As generative models transform the digital landscape, enabling new forms of creativity, automation, and innovation, they also introduce unprecedented risks related to data integrity, privacy, misinformation, and attack surface expansion.
This year's edition will chart the two-edged nature of Gen-AI through technological, legal, ethical, and policy lenses, featuring threat landscapes and mitigation measures. Specific emphasis will be put on the use of synthetic data for privacy-preserving and secure innovation, along with governance frameworks necessary to underpin accountability and resilience in AI-powered ecosystems. The workshop provides Ph.D. students and researchers with a chance to exchange perspectives, and contribute to developing sound, multidisciplinary approaches to securing the future of generative technologies.
